About Us

WHY WE'RE HERE

The purpose of this church shall be:  to render Spirit-led worship to the Father and the Son; to build up the saints to maturity in Christ, and to equip them for the work of the ministry; and to bear witness of Him who has redeemed us, both through actively seeking to win souls for Christ and through prayer and financial support of missionary work at home and abroad.  These goals are to be accomplished under the guidance and enabling of the Holy Spirit and in submission to and through proclamation and demonstration of the authoritative Word of God.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

A.  BIBLE            The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God. The Bible is the inerrant, infallible, plenary Word of God and is therefore the complete revelation of God’s will for salvation, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.  2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21, Romans 15:4

B.  GOD               There is one true and living God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Father, Son and Holy Spirit (the Trinity) are equal in power and glory.  Matthew 28:18-19, John 1:14, 2 Corinthians 13:14

C.  JESUS CHRIST     Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He died on the Cross, a sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate, and will return in power and glory to judge the World. Matthew 20:28, Romans 3:25-26, 1 Corinthians 15:20, Hebrews 10:5-14

D.  THE HOLY SPIRIT     The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict sinners, regenerate and sanctify the believer at salvation.  Indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.  John 14:16-17, 16:7-15, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19, 12:13, Galatians 5:16, Ephesians 2:22, 4:30, 5:18

E.   MAN               Man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost and separated from God.  Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can man receive salvation, spiritual life and fellowship with God.  Genesis 1:26, 2:17, Psalm 14:1-3, 51:5, John 3:6, Romans 3:10-19, 8:6-7, John 3:36, 1 John 3:8

F.   SALVATION    In order to effect justification and salvation, Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, fulfilling the demands of the Law, being propitiation for sinful man. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation.  Leviticus 17:11, Isaiah 64:6, Matthew 26:28, John 3:7-18, Romans 5:6-9, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:24, Galatians 3:13, Ephesians 1:7, 1 John 2:2, 4:10

G.  THE CHURCH     The true church, visible and invisible, is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated and sanctified by the Holy Spirit, and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head.  Therefore, only those of the true church shall be eligible for membership in the local church.  Matthew 16:16-18, Acts 2:42-47, Romans 12:5, 1 Corinthians 11:3, Ephesians 4:3-10

H.  STEWARDSHIP     Stewardship of our lives is a must, that is, all things belong to the Lord, our minds, talents, time and monies.  Also, we believe we will be called upon to give account of our management of them for His glory.  We believe God’s work should be supported by tithes and offerings from cheerful hearts. 1 Corinthians 16:2, Luke 16:10-12, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7. Malachi 3:8

I.    THE SECOND COMING 0F CHRIST     In accordance with the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ, there is the personal, premillennial, imminent coming again. This “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.  John 14:1-3, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, Philippians 3:20, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Titus 2:11-14

J.    RESURRECTION     The dead will be bodily resurrected; the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord and the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. Luke 16:19-26, 23:42-43, 2 Corinthians 5:8, Philippians 1:23, 2 Thesalonians 1:7-9, Revelation 20:11-15
